The Night Before the Dead

by Tazz   Nov 1, 2007

Dancing until dawn
Giggling as we crossed the lawn
He takes my hand
Pulling me close was his plan
Time freezes as the lips touch
Oh, I still crave bubble gum kisses very much
The stars sparkled above our heads
The coldness of the Night Before the Dead
He held me closer, tight and strong
The street lights tinkled as they played a song
The frost on the tips of the grass
The weight of my body combined with his mass
Lights of a sliver car shone
He let go and put a foot on the lawn
He turned and his lips slightly began to move
I still remember what they said; "I love you."
