The Routine of Heartache (High school Romances)

by cuddelyxbutxviciousXxX   Jan 8, 2008

All of this has been done before, all of it! We find ourselves weak and desperate for forlorn love, beyond the dark abyss of time and justice. We find ourselves suffering with way too much pain and heartache as we teeter on the brink of insanity. Time does not hold the answers to the Future's questions; only experience does; Experience in love forsaken and hearts taken for granted. We tell ourselves that we are not good enough for the unknown lovers as we hide behind letters of Tragic Love Stories. Time goes on and we think that we have the courage to spit out the words, "I love you", to our best friends whom we want as lovers; But we look them in the eyes-the windows to their souls-and we know for sure (if we didn't know it before) that we are afraid to tell them our hidden yet transparent message. When we see them with another, we hide behind smiles in front of them, all the while, crying on the inside. How could they be in love with someone else? What is wrong with ME? We think these questions as we sulk to the bathrooms to let out some of the dark pressure out. We deny the fact that this could be our last chance to come forward and proclaim our love, and we hide, yet again, for another 12 months. Time passes and again, we find ourselves with the "perfect opportunity" which will never come, and the wounds on our hearts grow deeper by the day. And yet, We smile, and tell ourselves that tomorrow will be the day; But whose to say that they will love us back? This is our fear-small yet vicious in it's ways. And we find ourselves yet again in this routine of heartache.
