Poems like this are the reason why I love poetry. No fancy metaphors, just heart and emotions. No one truly knows their deepest feelings until something bad happens. It is clear your grandfather and you were very close. Cancer is something that no one should joke about because there is very little pain like it. I loved this poem because it's heartfelt and deep.
