Beautiful penned, nice a,b,a,b rhyme too. Useful in sonnets.

A sad tale of a woman's pain. I have the feeling this woman is older, her time to be called to heaven is near. Loved ones around her. Her pain is dulled with morphine, but she knows whose there. This drug will allow her to slip peacefully and pain free away.

Thank you, she was my husband's grandmother and she passed away from cancer and you are correct she was on morphine before she passed.

    Kasie,

Cancer is a horrible thing and sometimes, when we see people suffering to this degree, it's a blessing for everyone (mostly them) when they pass to what is bound to be a more peaceful rest than life could ever give them.

    Well done on this.

First of all I'm very sorry for the loss. Apart from that I found that this write is full of great melancholy. I know how it feels this conditions are attracted by the black hole. She would definitely be watching your good works and smiling gently.

I like the rhyming too. Great write. All the best. Take care.
