Counterexample to dylan thomas on death

    I would like a good counterexample to dylan thomas' ideas of death. more specifically a poem or poet that "do not go gently into that good night" could be considered in response to or maybe another poet that responded to this poem with opposite feelings. some of these may include the acceptance of death and dying peacefully. ultimately i would like to see both sides of the argument of accepting death vs challenging death.

    thank you for your time.

    I came across this in one of my poetry books it was sent by a soldier killed in Northern Ireland to his parents it is Anonymous.

    Do not stand by my grave and weep,
    I am not there, I do not sleep
    I am a thousand winds that blow,
    I am the diamond glints in snow,
    I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
    I am the gentle autumn rain,
    When you awaken in the morning's hush
    I am the swift uplifting rush
    Of quiet birds in circled flight
    I am the soft stars that shine at night,
    Do not stand at my grave and cry;
    I am not there I did not die.

    and of course there is always W.H. Auden's poem Stop the Clocks and Rupert Brooke's The Soldier very stirring. Any help?
