Flame War - Resolution

During the last 36 hours, a turbulent crossfire occurred on PnQ in various forums and postings. While it was determined that one member needed to be removed, a second member persisted in placing himself in the middle of the fray and escalated the hysteria to an extremely harsh degree. One party has deleted his account and the other has been closed by the mods.

We are not allowed to discuss individual accounts, so please do not ask who the individuals are. Most likely you already know. Nonetheless, we do not seek to censure or stifle anyone; however, when an individual becomes a threat to the entire site by either, on the one hand, inflammatory postings and ranting or on the other hand, constantly bullying others, we must act.

It is unfortunate that innocents are subjected to the actions of the individual, but our burden to protect the site must be tempered by our duty to the individual member. Since it is a group decision, usually by consensus of all five mods, this balancing takes time.
