The Kiss of Simplicity

by Steph   Feb 11, 2008

A kiss is thought of as simple,
But I'm here to tell you of things to prove other.
For it can mean countless things.
Or it can mean one thing to one and another to another.

A kiss can mean, in the means of a relationship-
A step forward or one in retreat.
A kiss can say hello or goodbye,
And is especially something of wanted repeat.

A kiss can speak to someone of long lasting love.
A kiss can provide motherly comfort, to some hearts' dismay.
A kiss can drive one insane with its many implications.
Or a kiss can make a promise of a future roll in the hay.

A kiss is passionate between seasoned lovers.
A kiss that is kissed between two new lovers is sweet.
A kiss stolen by a past lover can be cruel.
And a kiss is most disappointing when left incomplete.

A kiss is anything but simple.
A kiss that's enjoyable is always much too short.
But I think you'll agree with me when I say,
That a kiss is best when greeted with a lusty retort.
