Valentine's Day

by Gasttlee   Feb 14, 2008

Cupid's arrow
tears the fabric of hate.

Awe
sees everywhere.

Connection
sticks as glue.

Love
wings in the air.

A hug
bares hope.

Cuddly kisses
spring sunshine.

Valentines
voice love
and love stands
as spring flowers.

I saw a lot of synechdoche (literary term) in this poem...the abrupt, yet flowing rhythm was nice, and from what I've seen, a switch up from your usual style. I liked it :D

Simple and sweet. Especially loving the last stanza. Interesting structure that worked really well. 5/5
