Forever Remember

Her finger trembled at his touch
Their eyes met and at that moment time stopped
Everything stood still and it was just the two of them
No one else could feel what they were experiencing
They were stuck in a time warp of emotions
Love, discovery, wonder and mystery
It all flowed through his fingers and onto her cheek
She could feel exactly what he was feeling
She knew her long and arduous search had come to an end
Finally she had found her other half (Plato was right)
She could see the flecks of black in his brown eyes
She could feel the small golden hairs on his muscular arm
She tried to soak up every minute detail
She wanted to forever remember this moment
Have it permanently etched into her heart and soul.
He held her face close to his and whispered every so softly
"I love you and always will,
nothing can change that, not even time standing still"
