The way you have tried to compare a budding poet with all the classical ,Romantic and Modern poets is mindblowing.I think it is the best poem to understand the theory of all the evergreen poets alongwith its originality and beautiful and polished language.Excellent.I expect more poems from your pen.

I like your word choice in this piece. Although not my favorite genre, I do like this free verse. Thought provoking and deep. Excellent job!

Wow this poem is amazing! I am astonished at how you have managed portray the mind of the poet in such a beautiful and accurate way!

    "A budding poet
    Learning to express"

Describing the poet as a flower when the poet himself starts at another flower and analises it's very core is just genuis!

"Pouring the images of the mind
    As he conceives the world;"

What a magical way of describing a poet's perception! I have often tried to explain my vision as a poet to others and failed miserably! I think this pretty much summarises what a poet does, how he/she sees!

    "The sensibility maturing with years"

How true this very line is. A poet grows, his views mature and with it so does his art.

    "The abstract becoming concrete
    And the concrete abstract;"

This part of your first stanza is mind blowing!! How many times alond the way have I, as a poet consider issues in a way and then months or years later described it in the exact opposite way? This is exceptional! Again, you capture the poet's mind in it's true esscence!

    "Shares with the world
    The inner core of mind
    Some drop deep with him
The rest read and don't mind."

This part of your first stanza I feel is extremely important because you make a very valid point. The poet opens himself up, every thing he cherishes, placed on paper and pen. Some appreciate the art in doing so and others just ignore it or are indifferent. Poetry is not held as highly as it should be anymore and I feel that you gently address this issue here. Powerful.

The whole poem is just exquisit! I will definately be adding this to my favourites! Thank you for capturing such a concept in so beautiful a fashion!

Also, if you get some time, please have a look over my poetry and let me know what you think.
