School Hallways

by kaili   Mar 26, 2008

I remember walking down these school hallways
for the first time
I remember the buzz of strange voices, the unknown faces
and the adrenaline filling my chest
that both frightened me and excited me

I remember seeing my old elementary school pals
and thinking "Wow! They've changed so much in just one summer!"

Now I'm walking down Those same school hallways
for the last time
They seem so empty now
I get that same feeling in my chest
that I did when I first came here

All my old pals have grown up and left by now
to venture out into he world
and I'm stuck here thinking "Where am I to go now?"
