This poem is really unusual, I've never read anything about the same sort of subject before. It's really clever the way you write about such harsh emotions by just describing a handkerchief. The line that really stood out to me was:

"Under the harsh desk lamp light,"

The alliteration really made it stick in my mind.

Really well written and full of emotion even though it describes an object. Clever.
