I can relate to this and many others can as well. Good work with this as your opening stanza.

"Thank you for holding me tightly
When I was grasping in the dark
And for the time
That I need to cry"

So sweet, and perfect imagery.

"Thank you, for always smiling
When I could not smile at all
Thank you, for putting back the confidence
The times that I felt so small"

This stanza flowed very well.

"Can�t be compared"

You must have made a spelling error here that made it do this.

Over all great poem. It really is a thankful poem and I like it.
