This is my favourite part of poem:
"darling, I've come back to you & our dear sons,
gone is the war and the sound of machine guns,
let me in, let me in, I claim my spot in your heart,
no longer can a war like this keep us apart. "

I am glad you wrote a poem about this subject. I can only imagine how my grandpa (peace upon his soul) felt after the war. I think it had a strong effect for the rest of his life.. The memories he had...they were terrible. He was man of peace and it was so much against his heart that he had to kill enemies in war... The enemies...who were forced to kill their enemies just like him..

This poem is good, I like it.

You are full of good stories....this is also a good poem...but I must confess I like the Gypsy one better :P I don't have any suggestions on how to make this one better...but it's really good. You channel your characters right out!
