I really really despise being speechless. like, it's worse than anything for a girl whose name means, "talkative". but you did it...again.....darn you.

Even the bowl of cherries she left in her kitchen
Is worth their regard, a bowl they might have painted
In a rush of sympathy for objects small and frail

    ^ all i can even think...is god. what a beautiful...gah! darn you mike...i can't even think straight it's so amazing..that last line..we're all so small and frail...or i am...god.

just...bleh. no words. you said them all....wonderful

I founded me words, mike!! lol. i reallyy just thought i should leave a real comment...instead of me blabbing like i am right now so here we go.

Insubstantial and insignificant, or a rush of awe
At how ready the cherries and the bowl appear
To give themselves to the light that's left them,
With nothing held in reserve for a better day.

^ wow. honestly, i love how in this poem you zoomed into so many little details that can be taken so many ways...

the vocabulary and the flow of this poem are both amazing. i love the fact that i didn't get an entirely sad poem from you this time! lol. but ya....sorry for the double comment. lol.

I absolutely adored this piece, utterly amazing and gobsmacked at all that imagery you put in.

It's beautiful, write something else man! You've been so quiet lately! =P

    Very nicely written piece.

If I want the company of the nonexistent,
I'm better off with the crowd of shadows who lost
Their only chance to escape the darkness
On the night I happened to be conceived

Self reflection is sometimes a very painful thing to do. I love the emotion you have put into this piece.
    Excellent job!

    The imagery was exceptional
but the vocabulary you used and the way you put your words together portrayed such a clear picture, and the underlying message could be taken in so many ways.
    Impressive!
