Comments : Death OF Dreams

Look of peace upon your face
Just to much for me to stand

I know where you are coming from Cindy...
This is the hardest thing to accept. But only the people who had a good heart die this way. The evil ones die with a mask of complete terror on their face. I have witnessed this myself several times. I know it's hard, sweetie but your husband was a good man and he was at peace with his faith, I am sure he was. One day you will meet again and be reunited and there is no doubt in my mind, you will have the same peacefull expression on your pretty face as he did.

    Love, always

Used to laugh, used to love
    Staring into sparkling eyes
    Always thought we'd be one
Till the day this dream died

Your sad poems always raises the value of people living around me, loved it.

What a truly moving piece you have here dear..

"Skin hard like an ancient oak
    Icy cold touching your hand
Look of peace upon your face
Just to much for me to stand

    Mind spinning out of control
    Emptiness now all I feel
A shell of what use to be
Life has lost all it's appeal"

Such painful words which hits the heart of the reader.. The pain and sorrow was felt so strongly through out this beautifully sad write.. well done!

So sad Cindy....knowing how much you miss John everyminute of everyday...

The poem is very powerful and moving. I particularly like the imagery of this one...the smoke filled room, spinning, the hardened oak...great!

    "Mind spinning out of control
    Emptiness now all I feel
A shell of what use to be
Life has lost all it's appeal

Sitting in this smoke filled room
All alone with thoughts of you
Walls are closing in on me
    Everything has come unglued"

^ love these two verses in particular...to me it captures the complete emptiness and loneliness left after losing someone so very precious.

    Love, Debbie

This was written straight from your heart , one of the things that makes your poems so good . As far as poetry goes, the flow was good, did not force the rhyme and content wisw, since I know it is true, it pains my heart to read.......it is so unfair. The poem conveys utter sorrow and was well penned.
