More Than Making Love

by WiltingWallFlower   May 1, 2008

She closes her innocent eyes
Yet his face illuminates the darkness
Calloused fingertips glide down scarred skin
Lines between right and wrong are blurred
Tender kisses melt away worry.

He gazes upon her trembling body
Wondering why she shuts her beautiful eyes
His fingertips touch her smooth skin
This is what he knows his right
His lips follow where fingers once trailed.

She opens her eyes and catches him staring
Suddenly she wants to run and hide
A tear slips from her lovely eyes
She softly whispers, "Plaese stop."
Her body shakes awaiting his reaction.

He watches her open her eyes
His body wanting to engulf hers
Then he notices that one lone tear
When she says, "Stop" he's stunned
But still he unwraps himself from her.

She sits withdrawn from him
Scanning the floor for her scattered clothes
In the dark she feels his hand grabs hers
The warmth in his touch is so inviting
She lays her head on his shoulder and lets it all go.

He looks at her wanting to hold her
But doesn't for fear it will scare her away
He can't understand what he did wrong
He reaches out and takes hold of her hand
When she ays her head on his shoulder he feels the tears

She feels his fingers running through her hair
Closing her eyes she whispers to him the reason why
Tells him about the man who took what she didn't give
She clings to his body never wanting to let go
She feels his heart beat against her ear

He tries to calm her unending sobs
He hears her tell a story too horrible to be true
Her fingernails dig into exposed flesh
He pulls her to his face and kisses her forehead
In her ear he whispers, "I love you".

They both get lost in between sheets
Two souls intertwined in the night
Soft moans pierce the silence
He thinks of only loving her forever
She thinks of it always being them together.
