"huge metaphor" is a major understatement. More like "gigantic metaphor"

It seems more like a love poem to me, rather than a friendship poem. And I'm still trying to figure out what I got from it. I understand that the rose and the storm are two people. It kind of sounds like one is keeping a secret from another, or waiting for the truth to come out about something. I dunno, that's what I got from it.
It's a great scenario, and was fantastic that you were able to hole the metaphor through the whole thing, instead of just bits and pieces. I guess every reader will take in something different from this.
Hmm.... well, you keep me wondering, which is great!
