[ This was a sweet little opening to your poem. You kept it simple but also let the reader know something special that this person as done for you. ]

You were the one, the only one,
Who's ever touched my heart and soul,
You were the one, the only one,
Who's ever made me feel completely whole.

[ I really loved this stanza.. I can totally and completely relate to it. You know that I've used lines similar to these in one of my own poems. I am so glad you finally feel this way, sweet heart. You totally deserve it and I know you two will be so happy together. ]

You were the one, the very one,
That made my life filled with light,
You are the one, the very one,
That makes me see a future so bright.

[ I just loved how you placed your words and rhymed it all up! I also love how you keep talking about them being the only one.. but you keep changing the words very slightly to make the stanza's unique in their own way. It's totally genius, my dear. It truly is. ]

You are the one, forever the one,
Who'll have possesion of my fragile heart,
You are the one, forever the one,
Who'll have me in their arms, never to part.

[ This stanza, along with the next one, were my absolute favorite ones out of the entire poem. It touched me how you referred to him as being forever the only one for you.. it's just so sweet and made me fall in love with the stanza. It's so sweet and brings you feelings of happiness and love, warmth. ]

You are the one, my only one,
Who's given me something more,
You are the one, my only one,
Who's given me what I never had before.

[ Gosh.. the words from this one just keep playing over and over again in my head! It was absolutely genius, Kris. It really was. It's so relateable to me and just took my breath away. I know exactly how you feel here.. and I wish everyone could know what it feels like to be so in love like this. You make the reader long to know how you feel and possibly even envy you. You just matched everything up so perfectly.. beautiful! ]

You are my one, my one and only,
You've shown me how love is supposed to be.

You've given me all I need.

Oh my.. this gave me chills! A perfect closing to such an amazing and heart-touching poem. Your first love poem and it turned out absolutely amazing. I told you before that you had true love just by the way you talked.. but omg.. you REALLY are. This proves it. You have an amazing talent and your poetry just keeps getting better and better. The only one..

Using these words, over and over beats out the message to the reader, magnifying their profound meaning, the meaning you intended.

The message, a tribute to a lifemate, a true love, a love that has completed you, making you both whole...a love that will last forever.

A very well written poem, both effective and profound.
