Thought our love was special

Whose spirit had long ago died

It is so hard to face when we think we have a forever love. The we find out it is not returned to us in the same way.

Worthless feelings rule my mind
Ashamed of myself I close my eyes
Did you feel taken for granted
Or like love buy my silent cries

This is my favorite stanza. It holds so much emotions in your words. How being rejected makes you feel like you are to blame.

How long will yesterday keep us alive
When everyday a bit of us is dying
Tried my best to stand like a wall
Wondering if you saw me crying

what a sad sad ending. This brings tears to the eyes.

^^^ I wish I had the ability you have here. Writing exactly how you feel! I have been feeling this way for a few months in the relationship I am in and have had writers block for a long time, but you took two sentences and totally described me! Thats excellent!

Its so sad to stop to think and realise how things have changed, how something so beautiful can disappear in the blink of an eye..
