Long Distant Christmas

by Galldora   Dec 26, 2008

Its a cold and we Christmas Eve;
The snowflakes fell in silence.
I thought I saw you standing there;
Surrounded by falling flakes of white.

The gathering of family and friends;
Everyone is together to celebrate the holiday.
I'm with my family and your with yours;
Many miles apart from each other.

There is an overwhelming smell of Christmas in the air;
Christmas carols playing on every radio station.
All holiday favorites to bring a smile to ones face;
Tonight its not what will bing one to mine.

Presents flooding out from under the tree;
For all those who were good this year.
I was good this year i know;
So why is the one gift i desperately want not there?

All I want this Christmas is really nothing much;
Just want to be where ever you are.
So i will be there with you this Christmas;
Even if its only in my dreams.
