All real men have a gentle soul:)
Elsie will love this, I am sure.
It had great flow and rhyming, an uplifting message and overall it is a very good poem.
I always love to see a man post a tender poem and especially a man who is known as a "tough"guy, he he he!

    Nice work Grant, welcome back:)

    *hugs*

Such a sweet and tender love poem from you Grant. The one that breaks through the 'tough guy' act is the one to love in my opinion. Such a nice write, its good to see a poem about true love. Not about broken love etc, but a happy, uplifting love poem that shows us all, that love does exist.
The flow was spot on and it was written to perfection. :]

Oh my goodness i love this and not even noticed that you'd written a new poem.

"Come lay your head upon my breast
Will you pass this final test?
This beating heart of tempered steel
Your lover's touch might just reveal."
This is absolutely beautiful. Very romantic one that touches the heart.

"The gentle soul that lurks within
Exposed by hands upon my skin
These hands of yours became the key
So many looked, but did not see."
This is like a lost in a peaceful dream. Spoken soft words that speaks from the heart.

"They thought I had a heart of stone
Beneath the surface I was all alone
I never knew how to share my love
You taught me how, we shared thereof."
I think this is one of my favorite stanza. As they say " we cannot judge a book by it's cover", hard on the surface but a soft heart within.

"Come lay your head upon my breast
My love for you has stood the test
My beating heart is yours complete
Your lover's touch still ever sweet."

Well i do believe that human being has the powers to one's emotion. This poem really touches my heart. I am sure your wife will be flattered by reading these words of yours. Very well done as usual. 5/5, kel.

    Grant,

    Hello to you..

I love your writings, I forgot how precisely you write; each line honed, like that tempered steel. This is a love poem that tells of love, not new love rather a love that speaks of commitment of two. Two that have become stronger because of the love and unity that they share. Love like this is the strongest kind, the kind that can weather future storms because of the lessons learnt over the years have created a love that is unstoppable, unbreakable and totally remarkable. You are a lucky man Grant, but I fear luck is only one element to a potent mixture required to turn out such amazing love.

    Take care

Hey dude, I usually leave massive comments exploring the language and all that but I came across this, and I just want to tell you how beautiful this is. How envious I am that you have found somebody who has brought the love out of you, and ables you to create such astounding pieces of poetry. I love it.

'These hands of yours became the key
So many looked, but did not see'

I find myself so able to relate to this couplet here, and I congratulate you on a great write. Keep writing!
