There still here

So long she has waited for a moment like this
a little girl dressed up in mama's gown lipstick on with pearls all around
clunking around in high heeled shoes to big of course for her little feet
stuffed animals set up all around the room waiting, watching, to see what's next
flowers in hand little bobby by her side they walk together down the hallway to her room
but thats the memory not what is now, what is reality
today is the day she'll give her name away
take a new one and wear it proudly upon her face
how gorgeous she looks in her long white dress
the music plays and the people out gasp at her as they get out of their seats to get a look
here comes the bride to be smiling and walking in
down the path they have laid for her
she looks to her parents, both with tear filled eyes
their giving their baby away but happy for her in every way
she said i do and kissed her man
looked up to the heavens and saw them smiling down
the faces of her parents that were once there
letting her know they'll always be with her and they still care
how they wished they could be there by her side on such a special day
if only that guy never turned down the one way
