Connections

by GA   Jul 27, 2009

Our lips are oppositely charged.
They follow the quickest path.
And when held back, create
A burning attraction, waiting
For Nature to complete it's law.

His tongue meets mine-
Sends sparks down my body.
His fingers are live wires
They touch my skin, anywhere,
And flow straight to my head.

This current through my body
Takes the path of (now) least resistance.
They convene around my heart
Attracting it to the positive,
And repelling the old comfortable negative.

My hands are much the same:
Sending charges down the pathways of his chest.
As time continues, the feelings build up to
That one moment where the circuit is complete,
That one moment I associate with vulnerability.
If the circuit dies, we try again
Until he is grounded
And I am happy.
