Good Intentions

by Fran   Oct 14, 2009

You are my one, there is only you,
Although my flesh is weak,
My heart is true.

Yet I succumb to my needs,
These crimson desires,
I can't cool the flames
Of these yearning fires.

I can't be a saint in
A world filled with pleasures,
Diamonds that tempt me
Like so many treasures.

Still I can tell you,
With no apprehension,
I've never been good,
But I have good intentions.

You are my one, there is only you,
Although my flesh is weak,
My soul is true.

^This was my favorite stanza, I think it was just spot on and I love the flow and wording, the whole piece was good, nice work.
