It won't be long before it is really cold and the last of summer and fall are gone for another year. They will be missed and hopefully winter will pass without a lot of snow and spring will arrive. Well done.

Winter is my favorite season. I find beauty in the lonliness of the landscape covered in it's blanket of white.

Winter's chill invades the senses
carefree and happy days gone by,
imprisoned by the mind's fences
the soul begins to wither and die.

The cold of the winter brings so many feelings of being alone. Great imagery in this piece.

Snowy blankets cover August shadows
cloaking the heart within an icy tomb,
quietly relinquishing summer's glow
resigned to the loneliness and gloom.

I always get such a warm feeling looking out the window at the winds blowing the snow. Me being inside warm. I feel you longing for the warmth of the sun....and perhaps a lost summer love.

Receding Sun hastens the cold nights
scent of death hangs in the crisp air,
seeds of love suffering nature's might
former passions ride the wind in despair.

Those long cold winter nights bring so much more time to think and let past memories invade our minds.

Darkest days of December yet to come
November winds strip away the last hopes,
summer love has no choice but to succumb
abandoning her children to winter's choke

Love the ending and you play on the seasons.
