It is scary when we realize that we are now an adult and have to leave childhood behind at least for a time. Good job.

I love how you referred to the game of Candyland and never really mentioned it. It is an awful thing that we are taught so young that everything is great and grand only to grow up and realize it's not. Wonderful job on the poem.
