The Love to Desire, The Desire to Love

by Viola   Dec 16, 2010

This is how i wish to remember it
my body entangled with yours
desire spilling from your eyes
covering my bare body in a sweet bliss
as you gently, slowly, take me
at first, a little bit of pain
transfused in the beauty of our love
thursday afternoon, the snow blanketing the city
we two concealed between your bedroom walls
it felt so right
for years i have imagined your body
laid out beside my body
i have imagined your hands
passionately caressing my skin
i have tried picturing this moment
for years, even before we were together
i knew you would be the one
to give me something either than
what i was shown all those years ago
to offer me something either than
the terrifying images that still play in my head at night
your hands feel safe
your heart beats in time with mine
as our breaths escalate
bodies moving in tune with each other
do you know how much you mean to me
there will never be any regrets
from now on i'm yours, and you'll be mine-
we'll be one
