Good poem. It was nicely worded and I could tell it was on a subject you feel deeply about. The flow was off though. But other then that I see nothing else that needs fixing.

Maybe try this. The changes are within.

"Evil in our midst, anger,
hurt and pain
We cannot protect
Ourselves, our children
From the growing evil in our midst

In our thoughts
We cannot compromise anymore
Our heart fill with anger
This is a now lost cause
No more sympathizing
Patience has been lost
Once and for all
For this world full of evil

With the Government and their lies
See the white of their eyes
Deceit and shame, they do bring
Upon the working man
The blame has laid to rest
The working man pays for the lies,
deceit and shame of the government

The age of innocence is fading fast
Like our history our past

The working man gives up everything for his country
Even his life when war comes

We live in a life of petty crime
The criminals never doing their proper time

They laugh in the face of justice
What a disgrace
To laugh in the face of the innocent

Who are we
With evil amongst our midst
We cannot warn each other
We cannot protect our loved ones

The age of innocence is fading fast
Like our history our past."
