Mother's Day Poem

by Toni25Rhule   Jun 1, 2011

Happy Mother's Day mommy, I'll always love you.
You yell, slap and hit me, yet I know our love is true.
I am your daughter, no doubt about it,
But I sometimes feel as if I want to shout it.
To tell you that I'm just a kid, that you could relax,
I make slight mistakes but we should all face the facts,
No one's perfect, especially not me,
You want a lot from me, but can't you see?
I'm only one person, maybe not always doing my best,
I usually take too long of a rest,
Typing, sleeping, eating, or reading,
When really I should be washing or sweeping.
I can change my ways, to prove to you,
That I'm your daughter,
That truly loves you.
