Knowing that something isn't fine

You see, it isn't a person but a word
It says there will never be another try
It burns the soul and tears you apart
As I painfully hear the word goodbye...

These are my 2 favorite stanzas. I could actually feel the chill going down the spine as he hears Goodbye. one of the most dreadful words in a relationship & in life in general.

I think that this poem has a really strong message and I like the images you used. The emotions are really powerful and they seem honest and heartfelt. I have to admit that I somewhat expected the end, but I never thought you'd word it this beautiful, I really loved it.
