What a beautiful ending, Jane. Is this about you? I like it. I'm a bit of a monkey woman myself, in both action and appearance.

I interpreted this as being about abby during the contest.

The last stanza is loooovely. I loved all the wildlife imagery, with different animals showing different sides of a personality. But those last few lines were just perfect, and elevated the poem.

It is about Abby :)

I definitely see Abby throughout this poem, but also a lot of yourself, Jane:

This is pretty interesting, definitely unlike anything I've ever read. Don't know how you do it, lady.

I think this poem shows how alike we think we are to one another. Others seem to agree.

Enticing poem Janey, I very much enjoyed the read. Good title and great first line. I am sure I would be like a beast and I do see the sly red fox. Your poem aroused all my senses execpt I could not smell that musky Monkey woman.
