Awww... this poem is so sad and filled with emotions relating to love and heartbreak, that almost everyone can relate to... I like how you told this story in your poem, I was engaged from the start. The opening stanza was brilliant and I like how you wrote it.

I loved this stanza (it's my favorite) :

There now lies
a void in my soul
A hole in my
heart

-- I like this metaphor, because it shows to what extent that you are hurt and how empty you feel without this loved one.

The emotions can easily be felt in your words

I loe the stanza about how he gave you sweet dreams but when he left you don't dream anymore

I read that in two ways. One you don't dream when you're asleep and two you have lost your life dreams when he left
