    Love it Tony!
I like the whole story behind this.. some kind of impossible love. The physical description of the subway worker is brilliant,, and... when you said that he's just like a bridge, I like how you referred to the fact that the woman depends on him to pass from one place to another...

    mesmerizing read.

I can see this poem being about a homeless person who lives in the subway. The fact that people walk near this person but not notice them is heartbreaking but when they do notice them it's all about judging time. They judge them for being homeless and dirty etc. They would never understand what it would be like to live like this. It is their way of life but we are quick to turn our heads because we don't "accept" or like their way.

A very heartbreaking poem. The idea of newspapers covering the body, I believe that it is the way that they keep themselves warm in the streets.

    Awesome write!!!

Awww, wow I love it. I love the concept of this poem.. it reminded me of a poem I wrote once.. It was a really nice perspective, because especially in cities people are really isolated and the feeling of being invisible and unnoticed can be tough.

I really liked this poem. Great job!

Ok, the first two verses made me feel like I am watching an episode of CSI:NY (which happens to be my favorite TV show) then I started getting the big picture.

Sometimes in life we find someone that to us represents the whole meaning of life, we revolve everything we got around that person. But to that person we might be nothing but a transit, a link, or a shortcut, they might not even notice that we exist.

I know how that feels exactly, I have gone through the same exact thing, but my poetry failed to reflect that, and I am really amazed that you have captured almost everything I once felt in those precious few lines.

I am still hunted by the memories of that experience, but I learned from it and thats what life is all about, learning from your own experiences.

Great job, and a nomination if I still have some extra votes :)

    Another amazing one :)

You can visualize the guy there covered in newspaper dirty and cut up as he watches the people pass by. Such a sad way people actually have to live like this.

    But you said it perfect.
    Stunning imagery

How true this is, how often we pass those and turn our heads not knowing what to do , scared maybe of their response if we offer help..
I wrote one long ago along the same lines.

I like how the first half of this poem could be applied to any situation, but then the second half of the poem you're starting to relate it to a person, a love. I must admit that I liked your first half more because it is more specific. Nice opening lines.

I love the vivid imagery here, and that it tells a story, it's really a nice piece, different from the usual I read from you but I like it when poets experiment, love this

Wow, so much has been said about this piece, what am I supposed to add? I mean it is a magnificent piece. It is potent and strong in the emotion category. The style is nice, the flow was ok... and the word choice is terrific. Thank you so much for writing this piece, I mean it is so freaking good and just wow. Though something is missing to me... what it is, I don't quite know...

4.5/5 is that possible as my rating?

Wow, the ending was perfect and the scene was very eye opening on how some people want to be looked at instead of looked through.

    Well-written poems.

I love this piece so much. Others judge and walk right past homeless people without even a care in the world... acting like they are too good to even be near them. It's heartbreaking... they don't know that person or their story. Most think homeless people are just on drugs or alcoholics, which some are... but there are others that just are unfortunate, lost their job or their home...etc. You never know... sometimes all it takes is a kind word or a few dollars to lift their spirits.

You are an amazing writer, you look at things from such a great perspective and write it beautifully.
