Upon reading the title "life is short", I agree with you, and after reading the whole piece, I definitely agree with you lol.. Yes, time flies. But my suggestion, not being rude, but it would definitely improve your poetry, try avoiding cliches. Time flies is a very common line, try changing it a bit, use a different metaphor..
Other that that, I like the sort of story-telling here. The imagery and how you penned this words that are read in a matter of seconds, in my mind a little boy is now grey-haired. Really well done. 5/5 Keep writing :)
