In Her Arms

by Cindy   Apr 24, 2012

Seeking for the obvious
I yearn to be touched.
To be caressed, to be kissed,
To feel whole, to be loved.
Never thought or imagined
That I would be the one
To find my completeness in her
My best friend, my lover
My whole world, my girl.
See, I am a female who found happiness but not with a man
I found it in a person who loves and adores me
And can't wait to have my hand.
So I sit here waiting for the time to be right.
I toss and I turn, I can't wait for the night
It comes ever so slowly, nine years to be exact.
Now the night is here, I see her naked body
Every curve, every scar.
As she shivers I move closer
Until I'm finally in the bed.
As I gaze in her eyes
There is no space between us
There is no more time spent apart.
We both close our eyes, see, who could've imagined
That this perfect night was not about sex.
It was about being in her arms.
