Comments : Kiss Me Goodnight

I see sparks igniting, surrounded by
this romantic air, two people afraid
    to show their real feelings

Such a sweet and enjoyable poem.

Shivering and fidgeting as we both said our goodbyes,
bluntly I asked "so, are you gonna kiss me goodnight?"
a slight chuckle escaped your eager lips.

This made the poem for me because sometimes the guy is just so insecure and the girl has (almost) force him to kiss her.

    Nice job!

I think this is a really heartwarming poem, even if the atmosphere might feel a bit cold at first since you're describing a wintersday, but a heartwarming wintersday nonetheless.

I like the fact that you do not give away too much and I have to admit that I've read quite a few poems by now that describe a kissing scene, so it is tough to keep it original and special, but I thought this one was. Well done :)

Lovely as always, Hannah. I'm not the biggest fan of love poems, but I have to admit, this was really well-penned. Perhaps the winter scene did it for me (:
I have to agree with Jenni though. It is getting hard to pen an original and memorable love poem these days since almost everything about it has already been written down. But the 'magical' moment for you and the emotion you poured out for this piece made this stand out.
    Great job and keep writing!

Wow, Hannah. You always do write beautiful love poems. Every time I read them, I feel warm inside :)

I like how this poem is about a memory that you had. It makes the poem all the more beautiful to me because I know the things that we remember in great detail are the ones that matter to us the most. So, in short, this one matters a great deal.

This poem has great emotion and great imagery.

"Showers of snow surrounded us as we were walking home,
covering the sidewalk in sparkling sugar."

^ I can just imagine the sidewalk being covered with snow like this. Beautiful image here.

"The heat from our breath tangled and danced together in this frigid air,"

^ Also, everyone can picture this happening if they live somewhere where winter runs rampant. :)

The whole poem is filled with emotion. You have love in here, and nervousness (which is clearly stated).

    Beautiful poem, Hannah :)

I have to say this poem is really beautiful. I love the images of two people walking in the snow, being together and sharing their first kiss. Oh I loved this poem. It made me feel warm inside even though it had a cold setting the warmth of the words heated me up.

    Awesome write

  • You have painted the scene flawlessly.

And the ending (again) was just beautiful. Glad you are so content.

One minor thing: in the second verse, 'miniture' should be 'miniature'.
