Awww...this is such a cute poem, Hannah. It almost made me cry :( I take it that Papaw is either your father, or your grandfather?

I love memories - especially of loved ones. They are always there in case you need to remember who you are.

Your Papaw sounded like a great man. From what I understand from this poem, he is now dead :( I am sorry for your loss, but he will always be there in your heart and in your memories :)

    Excellent

This is a sweet and cute poem
    the way you desribed him
he was a special and wonderful person
teeling your children all about their
    grandfather
    very touching poem

  • Oh this is adorable!
Its great to see a poem about the happy memories of loved ones past away instead of the sadness their death has brought.
Loved the sub-story of the gardening gloves. Just one simple memory that means so much to you.

    Thanks for sharing. (:

I really did enjoy the read and the magical words that flowed through. I felt a smile on my face as you were talking about beautiful memories but my heart was sad because of the tone. I am sorry that you lost this person that was obviously close to you.

    Awesome write

For a rough draft this one was pretty good,
I read this one when it was posted on the club and I loved it.

I felt the words really sincere and the image of your dad with the gloves in the garden felt real to me. I did find it nostalgic but I loved the way you used papaw.. it sounds refreshing to me.
I also felt like you cherish those gloves because of the memories that brings about your dad but also because with those words you learnt so many lessons.

    Amazing write.
