I love the idea of this poem, how you're emotionally challenged:)

    My emotions are like
    a shaken Pepsi can
Calm and cool on the outside
but explosive once the lit is touched
    ^^^
I love this simile here, it made me laugh:)

    Great job Thomas.

Loved the comparison to a shaken up pepsi can! That is so relateable to a lot of people who struggle with emotions. Its a different way to say you are "wearing a mask" which is over used in poetry a lot. So nice stanza there.

I would howevere suggest just a few commas to allow the reader to pause when reading, and also choose to rhyme or not, not both, it threw off the flow for me..

I also liked the title. I too pick one word titles, I feel like it draws the reader in and makes them want to know what you are going to write about. :)

Some people find it rather difficult
to express their feelings and emotions.
Often we allow for it to get all bottled up
inside. I love the idea with the can, shaking
around. That's what emotions will do.
    Bounce back and forth.

    - should this read once the lid is touched? :s
Other than this confusion, I thought this image was just amazing and described so well as to how you felt. It reminded me of when people feel so angry or so overwhelmed by a feeling that they have been holding inside for so long, people on the outside thinking all is calm and fair, and then suddenly it all explodes at the tiniest little trigger.

    Amazing work.

What a unique way to describe it. A shaken Pepsi can?! It worked so perfectly in this piece. It is indeed calm and quiet from the outside, but no one knows what is there hidden under the surface. Perfect images you have penned in this piece Thomas!

I love the idea of this whole thing :)

I've been trying to comment on this piece, but all I can say is that I like it because I can relate in a way. I have felt like that soda that once it has been shaken and opened up... Everything or at least the majority that has been bottled up inside comes out.

That was the best way to describe how own feels when we cannot express ourselves very well. I like your pieces a lot more than you might think.
