This is a message to be shared across the nations!

One's ultimate goal is to achieve peace
and you've portrayed it in a way no one but you could.

you're one of a kind Andrea, A valley of talent that we happen to learn from.

    5/5 never the less
    god bless you

If I were to tell you everything I enjoy about this poem id copy and paste the whole dang thing. So, I LOVED THIS!...looved the personifcation in "tasting sorrow"...loved the use of perished for thirst, then thirsty for peace.

What I did like most though, was your tone. All I could sense was frustration after I read " I was angry with historical damnation"..such a powerful statement and incredibly relatable.

    Loved!

Forgive me for not reading you and commenting you more...I have missed reading your poetry :)

The images you paint here for us are really vivid.

I enjoy poems dealing with spirits and souls..I toyed with the wording of my spirit wept vs cried- and

    sorrow the night the last
    ^^

sorrow the night THAT last rain drop fell. I think seeing the 2 times so close together made me go back and re read that line...

Doesn't make much diff...Its still perfect and you are such an assett to this place :) I hope that you know

Amazing poem, I love your word choice.

I grew angry within a historical
    damnation, and my spirit cried.

Such power in just two lines of poetry. I love it.

then you go on to write,

    Thunder cracked as smiles dropped
    before my weary dreamers feet,

Such description, you really set the mood for me as I read this entire piece.
You are not alone in your thirst for peace, it's so rare anymore.

Fighting takes the very life out of is that is why people want peace so much.
Too bad that there are others don't feel this thirst and just keep on fighting.
