Is the meaning that when love puts a halt to disappointment then the heart falls? Perhaps that loss of expectations helps the heart grow, so that getting what you expect may not be good for you. In other words, complacency is anathema to true appreciation for love - you cannot understand or know when love is real unless you have had your share of heartbreak.

Aw this just brings people back to the disappointments they've faced in the world of love. Such true and powerful words in three short lines of poetry. Who hasn't suffered at the hands of love?
