Incredibly creative!! I loved the opening statement as we all know where it comes from. I love the story in this. The parenthesis added sooo much for this poem. The way your words were somewhat twisted really caught my eye. I. Love. This!!

Oh, dear God.

I swear to tell the truth,
and nothing but the whole truth.

^ I knew that Karla in this will write something bigger than ever. You got cinematic in this write, that's why I loved it so much.

The implementation of descriptions between brackets was really bedazzling. It added this touch of reality to it, becoming more credible, more realistic.

The court setting, the judge, the lawyer speaking, and the witness... those were very smart to use in showcasing a woman was caught red-handed for sprouting wings of freedom.
