MT, the title is so apt for the content, I always love reading poems which welcome deep thoughts and a lot of memories to live again... The flow of this piece is so good that I just cannot resist living the life this poem shares.... Yes there are poems which are fictional and few which are a part of our lives.. Like the pictures which give us a memory, a moment which is a past to relive it... I hope to write a poem on this topic lol.. But seriously, see how philosophical I get when I love a poem....

    I scribbled notations
    and called them poetry
    last night before the bell
    struck midnight.

    ^^
I loved this... It creates an imagery right from the first word. How at times few raw emotions, later furnished forms a beautiful piece...

    Screaming emotion
    spewed across my
    tongue, whipping
    each stanza with
    truth.

    ^^
So true... When we can't contain emotions, we whip stanzas of truth.. The honesty, simplicity and sincerity is what is written..

    It doesn't matter how
    much I express, or
    the content of which
    I convey, for the devil
    still holds his grip.

    ^^
I just found this stanza powerful and depicts how your thoughts can manifest and manipulate emotions and words to pen writes..

    I've become a demonic
    possession within my
    own mind, the pen
    writes on, but I can
    never whisper the
    reasons for my
    chains.

    ^^
Still again powerful and the best conclusion.. Sometimes we just don't know how to stop.these emotions to not flood our thoughts and they act demonic to make us scribble so much...

A powerful piece and just a true outburst of emotions:))
    Good piece:)

The poem shape looks like a pen...whether that was intended I don't know.

    I like poems like this...
    wish I could comment more.

The place a poet can release his/her inner feelings is within his/her words, but sometimes it cant be written, nor expressed, just hidden within the heart...

A really heartfelt piece, but I love it, cause it says something about you now:)<3

It's amazing how the pen keeps on writing our emotions but we never really know why.. it's like poems have become our escape, our reality.
I absolutely adore this piece there is so much to read between the lines.. oh well it's just another amazing poem of yours! :-)

    I scribbled notations
    and called them poetry
    last night before the bell
    struck midnight.

    - way to draw the readers in, nice short verse stating the time and a little imagery of the action. WE have all been there at that time with all the words flaoting about our heads as we try to write them out.

    Screaming emotion
    spewed across my
    tongue, whipping
    each stanza with
    truth.

    - I love this line because I can feel what I go through here with some of my poems.

    It doesn't matter how
    much I express, or
    the content of which
    I convey, for the devil
    still holds his grip.

    - ohh such a powerful aspect to add into this, very very unique.

    I've become a demonic
    possession within my
    own mind, the pen
    writes on, but I can
    never whisper the
    reasons for my
    chains.

    - this ending sums up what we go through sometimes when we write these poems. Sometimes it even feels like are possessed because as soon as that pen touches that paper the words just flow out, like we don't even own them they just appear. These are often the most deepest poems we write.

    Exclelent poem.

I often feel like a mad-scientist when I write and I one hundred percent, without a doubt, absolutely LOVE the very last line:
    "but I can
    never whisper the
    reasons for my
    chains."
This write gave me a sense of frenzied, passion for writing!

I sure missed reading your poems.
This in particular touched my heart.
How important writing can be for the heart
    and soul.

I know exactly how you feel, sometimes a poem will not leave your head for days, until you relent and write it to give it life. It is like poetry possess' you.

I love how tight this is, truly great.
