How come no comments?. .this one deserves a nomination at the least.

Society and its fabricated virtues. All is obscure, all is futile, redundant. The saviors are the murderers. The hunger and greed for power and money will inevitably lead to self destruction. One's circumstances are the resultant consequences of their deeds. Violence similarly, is willingly opted for.

Perhaps the author is envisioning the future as chaotic as per the current status of the progressive society. Rebuking the methodology of moral advancement. There will always be a loophole in morality, which shall allow one to devise reasons, to kill, in the name of religion and god or political grounds. The author finds himself/herself confined to the chain of events. The smothering is persistent, living in fear a day at a time, anticipating and waiting for the imminent end. The author somewhere on the inside feels disconnected emotionally and logically. And the scale of empathy drastically ascends and descends. In finality, there is no stillness. Where joy is, woe must accompany. Peace and war are the two sides of a coin, constantly being tossed and flipped.

I guess I'm the pessimist of truth.
So little optimism in daily confrontation.

    ^ So very true.

To know you kill to smile-

^ I personally like the last line. I do allot thoughts to criminal psychology, often wondering if taking a life gave the criminal a sense of satisfaction or a sense of power. Do they enjoy such a feat. I do assume certain individuals do kill to smile.

Either way, the poem is very well written. Loved it and I do love your vocabulary. Your style oscillates between technicality and abstraction.
