Well done litany of issues without solutions. Although you cast it in a pessimistic tone I can't help feeling that you would change whatever you can in your own world. Think global act local as they say.
Sometimes it is hard to carry off a rhyme scheme in long lines, but yours comes off good - essentially you have four line stanzas run together as two lines each, but without having to worry about the breaking points.
