Wow really love this, you have not so much described the emotion of being ignored but more the actions of presenting the words.

Liked the relation to the man on the moon, I felt this was important in making it unique but also because it reminds me of the saying " if a tree falls and no is around to hear it bla bla " it make me think well if a man on the moon speaks, and no one is around to hear it, does he really speak?

So it feels like your words are not truly being said because they are not being heard.

Related to this one. xx <3

      You are exactly right.

Speaking, but not being heard was the point of this write.

If a tree falls and no is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

Technically, it does. Since Sound is a disturbance of mechanical energy that propagates through matter as a wave. Sound is characterized by the properties of sound waves which are frequency, wavelength, period, amplitude and velocity or speed. The perception of sound is not necessary for the sound to exist. As a tree falling in the woods (unless the trees are in a vacuum) will cause compression waves to propagate outward away from the disturbance. Those compression waves are sound regardless of the availability of a sensor capable of detecting those waves. The air is compressed and the sound technically, is propagated. Its perception at such an instance is independent of the frame of reference.

Considering vocals on the Moon, now that is a bit of a problem. Since sound requires a medium of propagation, like air on Earth, Moon does not have presence of any medium for the air compressed by vocal chords to travel to a receiver. But, a human being will be able to hear his voice within the confines of his helmet, due to the presence of air circulating through it.

The poem to me it seems, isn't limited to speaking and not being heard. The author is displaying his/her notions of helplessness, equivalent to, wanting to speak yet not being able to produce sound. Not knowing whom to approach and talk to. Perhaps he/she is being taken for granted. Trust issues?. .developed by constant haggling extremities of a human life?

The dry, empty words falling from my lips,
burning their way into the atmosphere,

    These words drop like stone
    because there is no gravity,
    I am not in space.

^ The words burning up during re-entry like meteors, meaning words failing to reach another significant individual. The words dropped in their routes, yet again being unable to reach their destination. A weak attempt from the authors side to convey himself/herself?. .or no target receiver to receive the transmission of .well. .words?. .What if the other individual has reached his/her saturation point?..thus being able to understand but not comprehend and reciprocate?. .May be he/she has reach the limit to wait for the author to make him/herself clear?. .

Although, wanting to be constantly heard could indicate self esteem issues, insecurities. Natural human behavior.

The poem has more depth which may or may not be realized during the read, but it does become pretty apparent when commenting.

    Very well written.
