Very well done to you for this master piece, you done amazing on the challenge and this poem was very well put together! Your wording just is mind blowing as is your choice of words for the challenge.

It is a very deep and dark tone of depression and you have been so creative drawing the reader into your scene. Well done, your pen is so very pwoerful! x

This conjures a scene of terror and awe, sort of like early Lovecraft. 5/5 absolutely. Thank you for sharing.

Poseidon's wrath lies behind your flooding lips.
They only part to spew out curses.
I've tried in vain to block the crashing waves,
but my barricades are no match for the tempest raging inside you.

^^ I love the descriptions here. This is wonderful, lively, and very vivid. I love how you start with action and you chose to make it sound like the reader is the only person you are talking to.

When your faulty dam finally breaks,
    a monsoon unleashes its fury.
Rushing water bounds my hands and chokes me,
    holding me hostage.

^^ This sounds like the part you must have gotten from evanescence. Well done, I like the voice and simplicity of the horror here. If that doesnt make sense I appologise greatly.

High tide takes me under and seeps into my lungs,
until I agree to let go and lie perfectly still.
You look down at me from the dock,
as I become one with the sea floor...

^^ Wow, good job this stanza left me speechless.

Poseidon's wrath lies behind your flooding lips.
They only part to sing a siren's song, in memorial.
I've tried, for the last time, to weather the storm,
but I was never a match for the Charybdis living inside you.

    ^^ Amazing. Stunning. Beautiful conclusion.

It's not a surprise you won the contest and I really love this piece. Fantastic write.
