We are told that we nave no control over our thoughts, but when it comes to obsessions it feels as though our most inner sanctum has not only been invaded, but is actively involved in the betrayal of our peace.

OCD begins when a compulsion is used to distract us from obsessions: for example, hand washing compulsions lessen the horror of germ obsessions.

However, sometimes what we are most fearful of is our own innate power. What damage might we be capable of if we lose control? My response is: what greatness might we be capable of if we learn how to direct this power into meaningful feats! Writing, expressing these inner wars and turmoil, is the first step for it is through this means that we discover what the power itself may become.
