Flows really nice, I was pondering what a 'poem' actually was, I have read (and have written) many rambles, but are they really poetry?
This is, without any doubt, it is sad but there is hope throughout, to call the next place 'home' shows that your person has accepted their fate and there is no sign of them being scared. This is evident in the use of the word 'release.' Which helps with the whole underlying sense of relief.

I agree with Darren, the flow of this poem is nice it is smooth and easy to flow. It gripped me from the first to the last line.
The meaning of this poem so deep and strong with underlying messages that seep from the heart and soul.
Through your creative composition I can feel the loss, sadness and the repetitive feeling of not wanting to say goodbye. This I can relate very well to! It's a hard word to say when the time comes to say it.
Truly a great read :)
