Sighs- To be honest Hannah I really don't know what to say except, this is beyond gut wrenching and touching.... I think the time frame: Where you highlight the days events... is what gave it a raw and in your face form of how tragic this message is... On a personal note my heart goes out to this women.. I can't begin to understand the pain she is going through... ugh.... You wrote a dazzling and sorrowful piece and tribute to this precious couple... made me cry.

Gracious Lord....that breaks my heart right in half!!! I dont even know these people and I'll be praying for her. That is not fair..not fair at all :)

Hannah I love what you have done here...writing like journal notes from the wife....but its too sad to even comment on it.

    Lovely.

I really want to pick this apart, but something inside me won't allow me to. It's so beautiful and heart-breaking, yet perfect.

I love how it feels like diary entries, so personal and intimate in a way. But the ending just rips me apart with the tragedy. I admire that you choose to write about this and also the strength you had to portray it.

Loved the details you gave. the similes were awesome.
I really like how you get your feelings across. I like the moral of the poem.
